Many children in Ghana and throughout Africa will never get a chance to go to school and learn to read or write . This situation denies these children of their human right to a basic education. HeSaNG is working to increase access to educational opportunities and enhancing the lives of thousands of orphans and disadvantaged children mainly in Ghana.
This boy is standing next to his village's school, which is in disrepair. There are many situations like this one throughout Ghana.
HeSaNG has been able to supply 78 schools in the Lower Manya District with computers. In the GA WEST District the increase in computers through HeSaNG donations has decreased the ratio of computers to children from 1/500 to 1/7!
HeSaNG is also training teachers in the Manya District. The teaching of computer programs is funded by AJA and HeSaNG is providing management support for the teachers and the students. Over the next three years HeSaNG hopes that teachers will be trained through IDEAS and a network of smaller training centers.
Another project HeSaNG is working on is developing community/school reading rooms. The project is to establish a network of libraries and facilities for reading in schools across Ghana. These reading rooms will be used by members of both the schools and the local community. The aim of the project is to improve the quality and resources of community led education by encouraging the community and the school to work in partnership together.
Basically, HeSaNG offers young orphans hope for their future HeSaNG supports rehabilitation in HIV /AIDS communities HeSaNG supports education for orphans and disadvantaged people HeSaNG offers accessible tuition through innovative methods HeSaNG encourages support from communities Think about volunteering or sending a monetary or other type of donation.
